Superbowl Sunday

Ravens vs Cowboys
Dallas opened the Superbowl with a 3 and out.Raven J.Miller
recovered his own fumble on the punt return at the Raven 29.
Baltimore had a big pass of 31yds from Flacco to Bodin and
a Rice 27yd run.However the drive came up short when Flacco
found M.Clayton for 8 yards on 3rd & 12.And N.Rackers
kicked a 24yd FG.  3-0 Ravens
Dallas converted on 3rd & 5 at their 39 with a Barber 11yd screen
 pass.Dallas  had to  punt to the Baltimore 14.
Raven RB Ray Rice broke off runs of 17,5, and 17yds on their following
drive which fizzled out,but Koch punted down to the Dallas 10.
Dallas could not move and went 3 and out.J.Miller returned the
punt 40yds to the Dallas 23.
Flacco decided to scramble for 11yds on 2nd & 9 at the Dallas 14.

Ray Rice capped off the drive to start the 2nd quarter with a 14yd
counter play breaking tackles to reach the endzone.
Rice had already rushed 8 times for 79yds and 1TD.  10-0 Ravens

The Cowboys put together an impressive 12 play 59yd drive which took
3.02 off the clock and ended with a 29yd FG.  10-3  Ravens
Baltimore was stuck at their own 12 with a 3rd and 16.When Flacco spotted
receiver M.Clayton running a deep post. The ball was tipped by a Cowboy DB
right into the waiting arms of Clayton for 43yds.
On 1st & 10 at the Dallas 35.Ray Rice broke off an amazing 35yd  TD run. 17-3 Ravens
Romo led a hurry up offense which resulted in a 42yd FG for Dallas
to close out the half. 17-6 Ravens

Baltimore did not start the 3rd quarter the way they wanted with a 3 and out.
F.Jones returned the punt 18yds to the Dallas 45.On 2nd & 9 Romo found M.Austin
for 24yds to the Baltimore 30.Again the drive ended with a FG,this time from 31yds.

Koch pinned Dallas again with a punt to the Cowboy 16 to start the 4th
as the Ravens could not move the ball. Romo faced heavy pressure on
3rd & 9 at the Dallas 43 and Raven CB L.Webb brought down the Dallas
QB for a 9 yard loss.
Baltimore ended up with good field position.And on 4th & 3 at the Dallas 33,Flacco
found Raven TE T.Heap for 5yds with 2.39 left.With a 2nd & 13 at the Dallas 31
Flacco scrambled left and found Heap on a post pattern for a 31yd TD.
Ravens 24-9 Ravens
Dallas fans realised it was all over and it certainly was on 4th & 3 at the Raven 42.
P.Crayton could not convert with a 2yard reception.
Three Flacco kneel downs would lead to wild celebrations by Raven coaches,
players and fans alike.

Ray Rice returns from injury for AFC Conference Game

The Patriots opening drive of the game hit a wall on
3rd & 11 at their 25.When Raven DE  Brayton sacked
Brady forcing a punt.Baltimore got good field position
at their 48. Fullback L.McClain left the game for good
with a broken collarbone.
Flacco threw late to Boldin on a square out and Patriot
CB McCourty jumped infront and raced 71yds for a
New England TD. 7-0 PAT's
With the help of Ray Rice the Ravens put together a
11 play 74yd drive ending with a 10yd TD pass to
A.Boldin. 7-7
Boldin uses his strength to get in for the TD
Baltimore managed to chalk up 92yds of offense to the Patriots -9
at the end of the first quarter.


Both teams failed to get anything going at the start of the 2nd quarter.
New Englands second 3 and out led to a Raven scoring drive covering
52yds in 8 plays,and ending with a 14yd M.Clayton TD catch with
3.45 left in the half. 14-7 Ravens

Again both offenses would go three and out this time
in the 3rd quarter.But it was J.Millers great return
skills that would light up the scoreboard for the Ravens.

Brady opened up the offense on New Englands next drive
and found R.Moss for 40yds on 3rd & 3.Taking the ball
down to the Raven 2yd line.It took 3 plays for the Patriots
to get the TD finding Moss in the endzone form 5 yards out.
RB Bell ran the 2 point conversion in to close the gap 21-18 Ravens
Baltimore went 3 and out and punted to the Patriot 6.

Brady settling down led New England on an 11 play drive in the
4th quarter.And with 4.25 left in the game New England tied the
score with a 44yd FG  21-21

Raven QB J.Flacco knew the offense could not go 3 and out again.
And put together a 7 play 73yd drive.And on 3rd & Goal.
rolled out to the right,and ran in for the winning TD from
4 yards out. 28-21 Ravens

Manning would lead the Colts offense onto the snowy field.
The Raven defense was ready, forcing a 3 and out.
Baltimore would get good field position at their 47.
A 10 play,4 minute drive with a heavy diet of L.McClain running
the ball would end with a 3yd TD run by W.McGahee.  7-0 Ravens

Manning suddenly woke up in the 2nd quarter,
and led the Colts on an 11 play 74yd scoring drive.
Ending with a 6yd TD catch by WR A.Gonzalez..  7-7
Again McClain featured heavily with runs to the right on the Ravens
next drive,the 5 play 61yd drive was capped by TE T.Heap
for 29yds.  14-7 Ravens

The smiles on the Raven fans faces soon disappeared with Flacco
being inrtercepted on the Ravens opening drive of the 3rd quarter.
Colt rookie free safety S.McCorkle jumped infront of TE T.Heap
and returned the ball 22yds to the Raven 41.
Raven DT  T.Cody sacked Manning for 6yds and forced the Colts
to punt.Baltimore stuttered on offense and went 3 and out giving
the Colts another shot at the Colt 40 yard line.
Raven CB L.Webb downed Collie for a 1yd reception on 3rd & 3
at the Raven 42 and forced another punt.But again the Raven
offense could not find any success and went 3 and out.

Manning under heavy pressure moved the Colts 70yds in 9 plays.
Finally finding TE D.Clark for a 24yd TD with 5.38 left in the game.

Panic started to set in amongst the Raven fans, and gasps were heard
as Flacco was sacked for 7 yards on 2nd & 9 at the Colt 34.
Raven kicker N.Rackers lined up to try his longest FG of the season
from 50yds to tie the game up.The ball bounced off the crossbar.And the Colts
remained in the lead.With 1.55 and no time outs.Flacco led the Ravens

Ravens look for homefield advantage in playoffs

Week 17 @ Seahawks
Both offenses struggled in the 1st quarter and Matt Hasselback
threw wildly down the middle for Ray Lewis to take the
pick for six from 28yds out.  7-0 Ravens

N.Rackers opened the 2nd quarter with a 48yd FG. 10-0 Ravens
Raven RB/FB L.McClain got the start over W.McGahee and helped
the Ravens move the ball with 2 minutes left.Heap ended that drive
with a 3yd TD catch.  17-0 Ravens.
Hasselback found TE J.Carlson for 40yds on 3rd & 2 at the Seahawk 35.
Free agent pickup,Raven CB T.Williams returned another Hasselback pass

Frank Gore looks to pound the rock

Week 16 v 49ers
Frank Gore looked to add to his 1300+ rushing yards on the season.
But found the Ravens d'line not in a helpful mood to his cause.
Chris Redman signed off free agency last week for the 49ers
managed to drive San Francisco down for a 1st quarter FG
of 37yds. 3-0 49ers.

San Francisco would add a 49yd FG to open the 2nd. 6-0 49ers
With 4.14 left in the 2nd the defense gave the ball back quickly
for Joe Flacco at his 47.Three plays later Flacco found M.Clayton
on a post pattern for a 48yd TD.  7-6 Ravens
San Frans next drive stalled at the Baltimore 15 and J.Nedney settled
for a 32yd FG.  9-7 49ers.
Ray Lewis intercepted Redman on the first play of the 49ers next drive and
returned the ball to the 49er 24.Flacco found Clayton again on the
first play after the turnover,for a 24yd TD. 14-9 Ravens
A 54yd pass from Redman to Crabtree allowed Nedney to kick his
fourth FG of the game. 14-12 Ravens.

San Francisco held Baltimore on the first drive of the second half,
but they lost 9 yards on two plays.Redman made another poor
throw for Raven CB F.Washington to return the INT for a 40yd TD.

San Francisco would lose 6 yards on three plays.And gave Baltimore

The 49er offense imploded  as Frank Gore fumbled and D.Landry

Titans QB V.Young was sacked on 3rd & 8 on their own 37
on the Titans opening drive.Baltimore did not run once as
their drive managed to end in a Rackers 37yd FG.  3-0 Ravens

An 80 yard drive continued at the start of the second quarter
ending with a 7yd TD pass to Boldin. 10-0 Ravens
Titans RB C.Johnson broke off a 48yd run on the following drive
but were held by the Ravens defense to a 24yd FG.  10-3
With only 44 seconds left and starting on their own 25.
Baltimore still managed to chalk up another Rackers FG this
time from 39yds out. 13-3 Ravens

Baltimore had held the Titans passing game in check until
midway through the 3rd quarter.Poor coverage by L.Webb
saw N.Washington break away for a 69yd reception to the
Baltimore 11.Three plays later V.Young found B.Scaife for an 8yd TD.

Bradford comes in slinging for the 8-4 Rams

Week 14 @ Rams
Baltimore got off to the worst possible start with a fumble by Miller on the
opening kickoff return.The Rams recovered at the Ravens 21.Baltimores
defense came out fired up forcing a 36yd FG which J.Brown missed.
S.Jackson broke off a 52yd run on the Rams next drive.Which led
to a Bradford to B.Foster 8yd TD catch. 7-0 Rams
Ray Rice would leave the game for the Ravens with an injured collarbone
in the 1st Quarter.

Raven QB J.Flacco opened the 2nd Quarter with a 3yd TD pass to TE
T.Heap. 7-7. S.Jackson would run 7 times for 60yds on the next Rams
drive,the final run being a 5yd TD for Jackson. 14-7 Rams.
Boldin broke one tackle to race for an 80yd TD down the left sideline.
14-14.  Baltimore closed the first half scoring with a Rackers 47yd FG.
17-14 Ravens.

St Loius drove 75yds for a second TD catch for WR B.Foster from 7yds out
on the opening drive of the 3rd Quarter.21-17 Rams.
Baltimore would hit back with their own 75yd scoring drive.As rookie RB
E.Hillis ran  into the endzone  from 1yd out.  24-21 Ravens.

The 4th Quarter saw W.McGahee break off a 35yd scamper to the Rams 4.
Rookie RB Hillis looking for his second career TD, fumbled at the Rams 1.
Steve Jackson was then dropped in the endzone for a safety.And Raven CB
L.Webb returned the free kick 78yds for a TD.The two point conversion
 was good.34-21 Ravens
Rackers added a 45yd FG with 1.57 to play.And Rams QB S.Bradford
missed a pass on 4th and 1 allowing Boldin to get his second TD of the
day from 16yds out. 44-21 Ravens

Ravens passing game in trouble with no Flacco?

Week 13 v Browns
With Flacco out for the week Dennis Dickson was thrown into the starting job.
And on his first pass threw an INT to S.Brown who was downed at the Raven 9.
But the Raven D came out strong holding the Browns to a 24yd FG 3-0 Browns.
On Dicksons third pass of the game.C.Francies intercepted Dickson again.
Cleveland took the ball at the Baltimore 35 and P.Dawson missed a 43yd FG.
Brad Gradkowski came in for the benched Dixon,the QB signed off free agency
last week connected with A.Boldin for 20yds with his first pass.The Ravens
went 82yds capping the drive with a 10yd TD pass to RB R.Rice.  7-3 Ravens

B.Gradkowski was sacked for 7yds on 4th & 3 at the Cleveland 34.The Browns
drive stalled at the Baltimore 16.And once again the Browns had to settle for a FG. 
7-6 RavensGradkowski found 4 different receivers on the next drive and N.Rackers
kicked a 40yd FG.10-6 Ravens

J.Harrison was the Cleveland workhorse in the 3rd quarter.And led the Browns downfield
for C,McCoy to find B.Watson for a 6yd TD.  13-10 Browns

The game would come to life in the 4th quarter.Gradkowski found T.Heap for a 5yd TD on
the first play of the quarter.  17-13 Ravens.Baltimore went 14 plays and 75yds on their next
drive with B.Gradkowski finding A.Boldin for a 13yd TD on 2nd & 13. 24-13 Ravens.
Cleveland closed the gap with 45 seconds left with a 20yd TD pass from McCoy to M.Floyd
and converted for 2 points 24-21 Ravens

Leftwich leads Bengals to Baltimore

Week 12 v Bengals
With Bengal QB Carson Palmer out 2 weeks. The Ravens were looking
to increase their lead in the AFC North.Before the Ravens could celebrate
their win before it happened.Leftwich gunned a bomb to Ocho for 62yds.
Bengal RB C.Benson then stormed in for a 12yd TD run. 7-0 Bengals
A good looking Raven drive stalled on 3rd & 5 at the Baltimore 42.
And the Raven defense finally woke up midway through the 1st with
Raven CB L.Webb returning an INT 28yds for the score. 7-7
Cincinnati marched all the way down the field  and decided to kick the FG
on a 4th & 1 at the Baltimore 7. 10-7 Bengals

The Bengals defense had the Raven offense bottled up,Joe Flacco did not
see Bengal LB K.Rivers over the middle interecepting the pass giving Cincinnati good
field position at the Balktimore 37.Leftwich hit Ocho for 27yds down to the
Baltimore 1 foot line.And then hit FB N.Tahi for a 1yd TD pass.   17-7 Bengals.
Flacco was sacked twice on the next Raven drive.And 3 and out  on their
following possession.Lefwich found J.Gresham for 20yds on a 3rd & 18 which
led to another N.Tahi TD catch from 3yds out. 24-7 Bengals

There would be no scoring in the 3rd quarter.However the Ravens came close as
Raven RB Ray Rice fumbled at the Bengal goal line which led to a touchback.

The Bengals managed to increase their lead at the start of the 4th with a 28yd FG.
27-7 Bengals.Joe Flacco  found M.Clayton for a 44yd TD before the Raven QB
left the game with an injury.Final score 27-14 Bengals

High flying Jets land in Baltimore

Week 11 v Jets
A sack on the opening drive would force the Jets to punt.
Flacco immediately found M.Clayton in the slot for 40yds,
a sign that the Jets could be had in the secondary.Two
plays later Flacco found M.Clayton in the endzone from
15yds out. 7-0 Ravens

Raven kicker N.Rackers added a 31yd FG in the 2nd Quarter.10-0 Ravens
Raven rookie CB J.Ash with his first extended playing time got his first INT
at the Baltimore 31.Todd Heap caught an 11yd TD after the INT.17-0 Ravens
On the Jets next drive Sanchez found S.Holmes for 30yds and two plays later
J.Ash was beaten badly again by S.Holmes for a 38yd TD. 17-7 Ravens
Raven RB Ray Rice struggling to get going on the ground caught 4 passes
for 75yds on the next drive.As the Jets defense looked confused.
M.Clayton caught his 2nd TD of the day from 4yds out. 24-7 Ravens
Sanchez was sacked twice on the Jets next drive to end the 1st half.

Raven TE T.Heap would be the main target for the Ravens opening drive of the 2nd half,
catching 3 passes for 54yds.Resulting in a N.Rackers 31yd FG 27-7 Ravens
Sanchez was downed for a 5yd loss on 3rd & 3.And Baltimore had good field
position on their 40.Ray Rice later slipped into the endzone on a 5yd draw play. 34-7 Ravens
 
New Yorks pain would continue in the 4th.With a 20yd TD catch by A.Boldin,
with 5.06 left. 41-7 Ravens.An amazing catch and run by A.Boldin for 64yds,
saw the Raven WR shed numerous tackles as he finally was dropped at the Jets 1.
From there M.Clayton got his 3rd TD reception of the game. 48-7 Ravens
Sanchez got the Jets back on the scoreboard with a 9yd TD pass to J.Browne. 48-14 Ravens
Ray Rice would add more salt into the wound with a 6yd TD sweep to the left. 55-14 Ravens.

N.B. Jets CB D.Revis left the game in the 2nd Quarter with a leg injury and did not return.

Palmer back off injury to start vs Ravens

Week 10 v Bengals
Bengal QB Carson Palmer did not get the start he was
looking for infront of his home crowd.As Ray Lewis
stepped infront of his pass and returned the INT 44yds
for a TD.7-0 Ravens.Baltimore came away empty
handed on their next drive as N.Rackers missed a 45yd FG.
Palmer worked the rust out finding a wide open C.Ochocinco
for a 57yd TD to tie the score up in the 1st Quarter  7-7.

Baltimore would open the 2nd Quarter with a N.Rackers 21yd FG. 10-7 Ravens.
But the Bengals would enter the half on top with a J.Reed 31 & 34yd FG.
13-10 Bengals

Baltimore received the halftime kick and Flacco looked strong finding
Heap all alone down the middle for 49yds on the drive.Two plays
later on 2nd & 10 Flacco hit P.Garcon on a square out for a 10yd TD.17-13 Ravens.
Thanks to a sack the Bengals were forced to punt from their own 21.
11 plays later Flacco found M.Clayton crossing in the endzone for a 13yd TD.
24-13 Ravens.

The 4th Quarter saw J.Reed miss a 49yd FG for the Bengals.And
Raven RB Ray Rice closed the game out for scoring with
4 straight carries covering 61yds.The final scoring play on
that drive was a  46yd TD off left tackle.Ravens 31-13

Steelers look to get back on track

Week 9 v Steelers
Raven QB J.Flacco would open the scoring in the 1st Q
with a 17yd TD pass to A.Boldin on an out pattern.7-0 Ravens.
The Steelers would reply with a grinding 11 play 82yd scoring
drive.B.Roethlisberger would find M.Wallace for a 9yd TD.7-7

A promising Baltimore drive would stall at the Pitt 29.But Raven
kicker N.Rackers would connect on a 46yd FG.10-7 Ravens.
Pittsburgh would take the lead on their next drive with a
B.Roethlisberger 7yd scramble up the middle.14-10 Steelers.
Again the Ravens drive would end with a Racker FG this time
from 47yds.Ending the first half scoring.14-13 Steelers.

Flacco started the 2nd half with an INT but the Ravens defense
held  Pittsburgh to try a 25yd FG attempt which Crosby missed.
Three drives later Flacco fumbled near the goal line and the Steelers
recovered for the score.21-13 Steelers.
Baltimore would quickly reply with a 99yd J.Miller kickoff return for a
TD.The 2 point conversion failed. 21-19 Steelers.
On the following drice Steeler kicker M.Crosby was successful on a
49yd FG in the pouring rain. 24-19 Steelers.

At the start of the 4th.Joe Flacco managed to convert a 4th & 11 at
the Steeler 35,a crossing pattern to M.Clayton.But again Flacco was
sacked and fumbled for the Steelers to recover.
Baltimore came unstuck again on their next drive as T.Polamalu jumped
infront of T.Heap for the INT.The turnover led to a M.Crosby 30yd FG
and the final score of  27-19.Steelers

Raven RB Ray Rice had his worst game of the season, 11 carries for 10yds.

0-5 Cardinals need a win bad

Week 7 v Cardinals
After the shocking loss to the Texans,the Ravens would get to face the 0-5
Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

Ravens QB J.Flacco would go 3 of 3 on the opening drive,finding RB
L.McClain for a 19yd TD flare pass.7-0 Ravens.On the following
drive the Cardinals would go on a  9  play drive ending with a B.Wells
1 yd TD run.7-7.Raven QB J.Flacco would fumble the ball on a scramble
at the Cardinal 41 .Two plays later M.Leinart would find A.Roberts on the
right sideline for a 59yd TD. 14-7 Cardinals.

The 2nd Q would start very similar to the first but this time with a 21yd TD
pass from Flacco to McClain.14-14.Arizona would take the lead on the
following drive with a 37yd FG. Joe Flacco switched to the hurry up
offense with 2.46 left in the half.And  led the Ravens on a 10
play scoring drive a 23yd TD pass to TE T.Heap on a 3rd and 15.
21-17 Ravens.Arizona  went a quick 3 and out.Allowing Baltimore
to cover 54yds in 22 seconds and a 20yd TD pass to T.Heap.28-17 Ravens.

Heap concentrates between 3 defenders for the TD catch


The Raven scoring explosion continued on the opening drive of  the
the 3rd Q with an L.Webb 43yd INT return for a TD. 35-17 Ravens.
Raven WR P.Garcon  added to the Cardinal embarrassment breaking
two tackles for a 60yd TD catch.42-17 Ravens.Cardinals RB B.Wells
found the endzone  breaking a large number of tackles for a 26yd TD
run.42-24 Ravens.Raven WR P.Garcon  caught his 2nd big play of the game
an 80yd TD strike.49-24 Ravens.The Raven defense seemed to take the next
play off as Steve Breston caught a screen and raced 80yds for a score.
49-31 Ravens.

The start of the 4th Q  saw Raven QB J.Flacco throw an NFL record equalling
7th TD in the game, finding Heap from 8yds out for his 3rd TD catch.56-31 Ravens.
A.Roberts caught his second TD of the game from 34yds [56-38 Ravens]
and the Cardinals would recover an onside kick.
Raven CB D.Foxworth would stop the offensive
madness with a INT of Leinart returning the ball to the Baltimore 36.
The big plays would continue with P.Kruger interecpting Leinart on their next drive
and returning the ball to the Cardinal 17.Only for Flacco to fumble 2 plays later.
Leinart would not make any mistakes this time  finding J.Bonner for a 79yd TD pass.
56-45 Ravens.Arizona would make the game interesting
with a 6yd TD pass to S.Breston on 4th & 2,and converted for 2 points to make
the final whacky score of 56-53 Ravens.

Tough 4-1 Texan test

Week 6 @ Texans
The Ravens got off to a great start on the Texans opening drive of the game
with a T.Suggs INT on the Texan 19.Raven RB L.McClain dived in for a
2yd score. 7-0 Ravens.

The Texans hit back big on a dazzling 77yd TD sprint by S.Slaton. 7-7

A nine play Raven drive would result in a wide open Ray Rice on
the right sideline who then ran in untouched for an 8yd TD. 14-7 Ravens.

The 2nd Q would be all Texans as they chalked up 21 unanswered
points in the Quarter.28-14 Texans.

Baltimore managed to claw back into the game with a 1yd TD run by L.McClain
with 1.04 left in the 3rd.And then tied the game up in the 4th with another McClain
dive into the endzone with 2.19 left in the game.28-28

The Ravens managed to hold the Texans to a punt and the game would be decided
in overtime.

The Texans won the toss and elected to receive and managed a 6 play drive
resulting in a 22yd FG for the 31-28 Houston win.

Raven QB J.Flacco completed 26 of 38 passes for 345yds 1TD 3 INT's
Raven RB R.Rice rushed 13 times for 59yds.
Raven RB L.McClain rushed for 3TD's.
Raven WR A.Boldin caught 8 passes for 121yds.

Slow start in Cleveland

Week 5 @ Browns
Colt McCoy got the start for Cleveland and was sacked on the first drive.
Giving the Ravens good field position on their 46.A four minute drive
gave the Ravens a 7-0 lead with a L.McClain 3yd rush off tackle.

The best field position for Cleveland came on a fumble by Flacco at
the Ravens 41.But on 3 plays the Browns lost 8yds and were forced
to punt.

Baltimore elected to go for a 4th & 5 at the Browns 34 and came up
with a pass to Heap for no gain.This gave the Browns some renewed
confidence as they drove down field for a 10yd TD pass from McCoy

Offensive shootout in Kansas

Week 4 @ Kansas City

With heavy rain all game Baltimore opened up a commanding 21-3 1st Q lead.
Chief QB M.Cassell would bring his team back with 2 TD passes in the 2nd Q.
A wild and wacky 3rd Q would see both teams score a combined 35 points.
With 4 of the scoring plays going over 60 yards.
The scoring bonanza would fizzle out in the 4th with a Raven 42yd FG by N.Rackers
to give Baltimore the win 52-31.

Colts come to end Ravens winning streak?

Week 3 vs Colts
The high powered Raven offense crashed and burned in the 1st Q.
Chalking up a disappointing -5 yds and a safety.Mistakes did
not help the Ravens cause when a Ray Rice 96yd TD run was
called back by a clipping call in the 1st Q.But all would
change in the 2nd and 3rd Q when Raven QB Joe Flacco
would hit a hot streak.And the Ravens O' clocked up 270yds.

The Colts held a fragile 9-6 lead at the end of the half.And did
not know what hit them from then on.As Baltimores offense
scored 3 straight TD's and 35 total 2nd half points to win
41-16.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco 23 of 27 263yds 3TD's 0Int
Ray Rice did not break the 100yds rushing barrier
for the first time this season only gaining 70yds.

Flacco lights up the NFL.

Week 2 vs Jaguars
A tight 14-7 lead by the Ravens suddenly turned into
a blowout with 28 unanswered Raven points.
As Baltimore would win their 2nd game 42-10.


Ravens QB Joe Flacco was in amazing form completing 24 of 34 for 388yds and 5TD's.
Ravens RB Ray Rice left the field with a minor injury but still totalled 104yds  and 1TD.
Ravens WR A.Bolden had his best game as a Raven with 8 rec 129yds and 3TD's.
Ravens TE T.Heap caught 4 passes for 161yds and 1TD.


Play of the game,was a 71yd TD pass from Flacco to Heap.
Flacco was voted offensive player of the week.


The injury crisis worsened as 2nd round draft pick,DT  R.Thomas  has gone out for the season.
Center D.Hale is out for 6 weeks.LOLB S.Kindle is out 7 weeks.

Season Opener

Week 1 @ Steelers
The Ravens opened the new NFL season with a crushing victory
over divisional rival Pittsburgh 48-10.

Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw for 236yds 3TD's 0 INT's.
Raven RB Ray Rice rushed for 204yds and 3 TD's.
Mark Clayton led the team with 6 catches for 65yds 2TD's.

Raven Free Agent DE T.Brayton was defensive player of the week
with 5 tackles,2 sacks,2 forced fumbles.
Ray Rice was voted offensive player of the week.

All was not good news as Raven safety Ed Reed injured his hip and is out for 11 weeks.

toss and elected to receive.
And almost cost them early,
as Manning recovered his
own fumble inside the Colts
20.The Ravens defense
set the stage, forcing the

Time would stand still

the endzone and catch a Manning
strike for 50 yds and a game
dagger plunging TD.
Giving the Colts the lead 27-20
with 52 seconds left.

Ravens QB Flacco again looked
comfortable in the hurry up.

to the Colts 20.But with 2
seconds left Flacco was
forced to fire a wild incomplete
pass or be sacked to end the
game for a bitter Ravens loss
27-20.

An NFL playoff classic

Ravens @ Pats div playoff game
New England looked unstoppable
on their opening drive.Taking the
lead with a 31yd screen pass from
Pats QB Tom Brady to RB
L.Maroney.

Boldin breaks tackles
The alarms bells could have started
ringing early on the Ravens sidelines.
But big free agent signing WR
Boldin broke 2 tackles on a slant
to break free for a 48yd TD to
tie the score 7-7.

The Patriots struck back with a
2yd dive by RB S.Morris.

Ray Lewis stops New Englands drive with an INT.
With the PAT's up 7 and driving
again in the 2nd Q. Future Hall

The Ravens soon tied it up
14-14 with a 20yd TD pass

Baltimore looked to be driving

AFC Wildcard

Foxworth makes the games first big play.
Ravens @ Steelers
Heinz field Pittsburgh snow
and high winds would bring
any QB to their knees.
But it was Steeler QB
B.Roethlisberger who made
the first mistake of the game
throwing an Int to Raven CB
D.Foxworth who returned the
ball to the Pitt 45.

The Ravens moved into
scoring position when
Raven QB Joe Flacco
would face the same fate,
throwing a pick in the Steeler endzone.

It wasn't until the 2nd Q that the Ravens
manged to put points on the scoreboard
a 15yd TD catch by Raven TE Todd Heap.

Pittsburgh had trouble moving out of
their own half and when they did
Raven LB T.Suggs was there waiting
TO wide open for Flacco's 2nd TD throw
for them,intercepting  Steeler
QB B.Roethlisberger at the Ravens 44.

Flacco brought the
Ravens back down
the field finding a
wide open T.Owens
for a 16yd TD
and a 14-0
1st half lead.

The Ravens had successfully
coverted two 4th downs in
the first half.But no call was
bigger than the 4th & 1
which lead to Raven

The Ravens would not stop there,with
Ray Rice brushing off Steeler defenders

The final game of the regular season

Week 17 v Bengals
Todd Heaps 29yd TD catch
The Ravens jumped to an early
10-0 lead.Thanks to a Ray Rice
51yd scamper on the Ravens
second drive which led to a
Todd Heap 29yd TD catch.

As if this was not enough
the Raven TE rumbled
down the right sideline
for a 2nd TD covering
Todd Heaps 2nd TD of the game for 38yds.

The Bengals woke up with
a poor read by Raven QB
Joe Flacco as LB K.Rivers
returned an INT 58yds for
a TD.

The following Raven drive
saw Willis McGahee break
to the outside on a 35yd

The Bengals offense were held
to a total of 47yds for the half.

The last Raven score came on
D.Foxworth 43 Int return for
a TD. Giving the Ravens a
45-23 win over the Bengals.

Week 15 v Saints
The snow had returned to M&T and was the only
hope of shutting down the deadly passing attack
of Drew Brees and the Saints.

L.Webb was having some success returning punts
after WR D.Stallworth was placed on IR. So the
tone was set when Webb caught the Saints
punt and zig zagged his way back for a 65yd TD.

The good fortune continued when Raven LB Gooden
forced a fumble on the Saints kick return,Safety Nakamura
recovered and moved the ball down to the Saints 5yd line.
Which led to a 3yd TD dive by backup FB O.O'Neal.

The Ravens looked to add to their commanding lead but
Raven RB Ray Rice fumbled his pass reception at the Saints
5yd line. Saint C.Vaughn recovered and raced 95yds back for
a TD.

To stop any thought of a comeback

broke free down the middle

game away 33-24 in the 4th.

The second play of the game saw

Race for AFCN division

Week 12 v Buccs
A defensive struggle was topped by
great blitzing pressure on Buccs QB
J.Freeman causing a poor throw to
be Intercepted by Raven safety Ed Reed
and returned 50yds for the winning score.
As the Ravens won 17-10 and move to
7-4 in the AFCN division.

WR D.Stallworth was placed on IR after
getting injured on a kick return.

TE Dickson got the only Raven TD
Week 13 v Steelers
On a snowy field at M&T the Ravens
had their best chance to tie up the
division lead with Pittsburgh.
Raven QB Flacco did not feel
comfortable with the weather conditions
throwing 3 picks,one returned by Steeler
CB I.Taylor for a 34yd TD.

H.Ward 8 rec 97yds 2TD's was the Steelers
star as Pittsburgh  won 24-7 and held on to
the AFC North lead.

Week 14 @ Texans
Once again the Ravens turned in an impressive
performance after a poor outing the week before.

As Joe Flacco broke 3000yds passing for the season.
And Ray Rice broke 1000yds rushing for the season.

for 71yds as the Ravens beat the Texans 34-17.

Ravens start to turn season around.

Week 10 @ Falcons
Ray Rice gets the win in Atlanta.
Raven CB F.Washington got the Ravens off to a
good start with a 77yd Int return TD.But with
the Ravens down 27-20 to the Falcons late in the
4th Q a deep desperation pass to Boldin resulted
in a PI call at the Falcon 8 with no time left on  the clock.

Raven QB Flacco stayed calm in the pocket and
tied the score up 27-27 with an 8yd TD
pass to WR T.Owens to force overtime.

The Ravens won the coin toss in OT and marched
downfield capping their drive with a 50yd TD run by R.Rice.

Raven RB R.Rice ended the day with 189yds rushing and 66yds receiving.
As the Ravens won in OT 33-27.

Week 11 @ Panthers
The Ravens turned the game around in the 4th Q
with a great punt by Koch
to the Panther 2yd line,which led to a safety of QB
M.Moore in the Carolina endzone.

Baltimore took full advantage of getting the ball back after the kick
with a 10yd TD pass from Flacco to T.Owens,who
also converted  with a one handed catch for 2 points.
The Ravens got their 4th straight win,with the score 17-14.
